The Wetland Authority of Delhi, Department of Environment (GNCTD), organized a Workshop on Capacity Building for Stakeholders on 27th August 2025 at the Delhi Secretariat Auditorium. The workshop brought together land-owning agencies, Wetland Mitras, and experts to deliberate on key aspects of wetland management, conservation, and rejuvenation of water bodies in Delhi. Sessions focused on the national policy framework, implementation of the Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2017, economic valuation of ecosystem services, blue carbon assessment, and climate finance opportunities. The programme served as a collaborative platform to strengthen stakeholder capacity and promote sustainable management of wetlands in the Delhi.
